alongside people.
From community services to independent practice, Ann’s work connects individual support with education, professional collaboration and community action.
Clinical practice
Trauma, children
& families.
Ann has worked in private counselling practice in Moberly, Missouri, since March 1993. She established The Lighthouse Counseling Center in 2000, providing individual, family and group counselling.
Her experience includes work with children and families affected by trauma and abuse, alongside relationship difficulties, grief and crisis. Her professional development includes Cognitive Processing Therapy, play-based approaches and trauma-focused learning.
Across her career, she has worked with referrals from schools, local agencies, hospitals and justice services. Earlier roles included case management, foster-care support and day-treatment coordination.
Prevention & community
Bringing difficult
conversations into reach.
Suicide-prevention education is a substantial part of Ann’s community work. She has delivered CALM teaching about reducing access to lethal means, contributed to Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) and first-responder education, and supported suicide-bereavement work.
Her experience also includes helping establish the Randolph County Suicide Prevention Coalition and North Central CIT Council, bringing a practitioner’s perspective to local collaboration.
Teaching activity is supported by a 2022 Caring Community letter. Coalition involvement is described in Ann’s professional biography and CV.
